Making an Appointment
You can call the practice daily between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM and between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM to make an appointment. The medical assistant will ask you about the reason for your contact. She is trained to do this to make the best possible assessment of the nature and urgency of your potential complaints. Like the doctor, the medical assistant is required to handle your information confidentially. The doctor reserves fifteen minutes for your appointment. If you think you will need more time, please let us know.
Telephone Consultations
For brief questions, advice, or test results you wish to discuss directly with the doctor, you can call between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The assistant will take your details and the phone number where you can be reached. The doctor will call you back between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. For test results, you should always contact us yourself.
Home Visits
Home visits can be requested between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM. If necessary, the GP will visit you on the same day. We kindly ask you to use this service only when truly needed.
Better options are available at the practice for examination and treatment. If you would like the doctor to visit, for example, after your hospital discharge or following the birth of a child, please call the practice to schedule an appointment.
Missed Appointment Fee
It may of course happen that you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment. We kindly ask that you inform us in time. If you do not show up for an appointment without notifying us, a missed appointment fee will be charged. The fee is €15 or €25, depending on the time reserved for you. This fee cannot be claimed from your health insurance.
Of course, there may be a valid reason why you could not attend at the agreed date and time. You can inform us about this, preferably by email at huisartsenpraktijkvaneerd@huisartsenbredero.nl.
School Holidays
During school holidays, there is unfortunately often a shortage of substitute doctors, and the practice is less fully staffed. We appreciate your understanding.
