Worried About Your Child? You Are Not Alone.
Youth Care Professional
If you are concerned about your child’s development or behavior, you can consult your GP. Although there is currently no youth professional working within our practice, we can still refer you to appropriate support through CJG Breda (Center for Youth and Family) or other care organizations, who can provide assistance.
You can turn to the youth professional with any questions regarding your child’s upbringing and development. For example:
- Your child has concentration or learning difficulties;
- Your child is developing differently from other children and you are concerned about this;
- You wonder whether your child may have ADHD, autism, high sensitivity, or giftedness;
- Your child is experiencing psychological or social problems.
Privacy
Your conversations with the GP and youth professional are confidential. To stay informed about your child’s situation, they record information in a secure environment. We adhere to all privacy guidelines to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.
Sharing your questions and concerns
The youth professional sets aside extra time to listen carefully to your story. Together, you explore what is needed to support you and your child. Sometimes, one or two sessions with the youth professional are sufficient. If necessary, you will look at options for help and support, for example from someone in your own environment. If professional or specialized assistance is needed, the youth professional will help facilitate this.
