The People Behind Our Care!

Ms. Splinter is present on Monday mornings, Wednesday, and Thursday.

I have been working with great enthusiasm in this practice since 2000. After studying Medicine in Maastricht, completing a residency in Geriatrics in Hilversum, and then the General Practitioner training in Amsterdam, I settled in Breda. I first worked on Baronielaan (small but cozy) and now in our beautiful Bredero Health Center (spacious and full of opportunities).

I find the work of a GP to be a wonderful profession—full of challenges and variety, with inspiring encounters, laughter and sometimes tears. It can be complex, but it is always deeply rewarding. Every patient is unique. Some patients I have known for many years, and being able to see them grow, help and advise them through the ups and downs of life feels like a privilege.

Within my field, I have a particular interest in pediatrics, adolescents, and patients experiencing mental health difficulties. I also enjoy working on vision development for primary care and our practice, aiming to further improve the quality of care for our patients, maintain strong team spirit, and above all, enjoy our work.

I am happily married to a husband who works (more than) full-time, and we have three growing children. In my free time, I enjoy walking with our Labrador.
